“In the Rosenkavalier Suite Eduardo Portal proved that he has, besides the temperament and pulse shown in the rest of the program, sensitivity for the long melodic lines and for the seductive orchestral sonorities, so characteristic of Richard Strauss”. Two concerts at Bilbao's Palacio Euskalduna with a festive carnival spirit were performed last 4th and 5th February, including Johann Strauß Fledermaus Ouverture, Saint-Saens Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, Suppe Dichter und Bauer Overture, Dvorak Carnival Overture, Ravel Tzigane and Richard Strauss The Rosenkavalier Suite. Leticia Moreno featured as soloist.

Both concerts were very well received by the audience and the press.
