Eduardo Portal, conductor

Eduardo has been granted a prestigious Leonardo Award. These awards are given by the BBVA foundation to support directly the work of researchers and artists who are developing particularly interesting, innovative and personal projects. A very select group of 6 musicians have been chosen to receive this prize in 2018. Some of the other fields considered by the BBVA foundation for their awards include biomedicine, engineering, biology, architecture and theatre.

This will enable Eduardo to make a double CD recording with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra of the orchestral music by composer Gustavo Diaz Jerez. The recording sessions will happen during the summer of 2019 and the release of the CD in early 2020.
